Abstract

Christian faith is unique from all forms of belief anywhere in the world, because Christian faith believes that Jesus is God and the only human Savior. This exclusive claim raises all kinds of questions: What about all other forms of belief? Isn't that a subjective assumption based on the spirit of religious fanaticism and excessive arrogance to deify a human Jesus? Isn't it true that pluralist theologians of religions believe that all religions also have the truth and another savior so that they can lead to salvation without having to believe in Jesus? Isn't the Jesus that Christians worship only God for them because in other religions there are also other gods? And there are many other questions. This research intends to understand the original meaning of the apostle Peter's expression that Jesus Christ is Lord of all people. The method used in this study uses a hermeneutical approach. Based on the results of the exegesis of the text of Kis.10: 34-36, then the phrase Jesus Christ the Lord of all people means Jesus Christ is God who reigns over all of His creation so that He deserves to be worshiped as God and the Savior of mankind.
